On a double door do both doors open?

Yes, both doors on all of our double door units are operable. One side will be the active or primary and the other side will be the passive or secondary. The active is your typical side of passage. This is where the locking handleset is installed as well. The passive is secured to the top and bottom of the frame with flush mount slide bolts. When the active is opened, the slide bolts on the passive can be seen and manually released to allow the it to open.
