Our door jambs are designed for strength, durability, and proper fitting with your entry system.
- The interior portion of the jamb (the side facing inside your home) measures 3/4" thick.
- The exterior portion of the jamb (the side facing outward) measures 1-1/4" thick.
This construction provides additional strength and stability where it’s needed most — especially for heavier solid wood doors and double-door configurations. The thicker exterior edge helps the door better resist environmental factors like wind, moisture, and temperature changes, while the slightly slimmer interior portion allows for a clean, finished appearance inside the home.
Please note that our jambs are specially engineered to support the weight and structure of our custom-quality doors. If you are replacing an existing door, it’s important to confirm the fit with your contractor, as older or standard jambs may not be designed to handle the dimensions and weight of our solid wood units.
If you need additional information about jamb specifications, or have questions about frame sizes, please feel free to reach out — we’re happy to assist!
