We only bore the active door for the handleset.
If you plan to install a dummy handle on the passive door, the preparation requirements can vary depending on the specific hardware you choose. Some dummy handles require no bore at all, while others may require a single bore or even a double bore depending on the design and attachment method of the hardware.
Because of these variations, we do not pre-bore the passive door. This approach allows you or your installer to customize the preparation based on the exact requirements of your selected dummy handleset.
You (or your contractor) will be responsible for boring the passive door to match your hardware specifications if needed. We recommend consulting your hardware manufacturer’s installation instructions or working with a professional installer to ensure proper placement and function.
